Dr. Roderick Comunale, M.D.
Dr. Rod has been in private medical practice for more than fifteen years. He is
a double board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, and has
an extensive background in Alternative Medicine, Diabetes, Hypertension,
Nutrition and Research.
Dr. Rod currently holds faculty positions at U.C.S.D. School of Medicine, and
at Western University School of Osteopathic Medicine, in addition to
participating in numerous Research and Investigational Drug Studies. He is
active throughout San Diego County and on staff at several local hospitals,
holding various administrative roles including Chairman of Medicine at
University Community Medical Center in San Diego.
Dr. Rod has received numerous awards, including America's Top Physicians
(2004-2005). He has published his research in the New England Journal of
Medicine, Kidney International, and numerous other peer reviewed Journals.
