Since 1993, the Most Experienced out-patient  Hyperbaric Centers with the Most Experienced Physicians.

Patients  investigating  HBOT are often facing  chronic  medical problems and have exhausted established medical treatment options. Healing Chambers Inc. clinics provide their physicians with an opportunity  to prescribe  HBOT for "unapproved" health conditions and have HBOT administered in a professional environment.  Our consulting and referring physicians use clear guidelines for specific conditions.

Health decisions are much too important to be made without the advice of a Doctor or other health care practitioner. We invite and encourage you to share this information with your doctor. We would be happy to share all of our research materials with any doctor who asks. Be informed and then make the right decisions for your health. The information presented here is for informational purposes only and is not intended to substitute for the advice of a physician.

Because the FDA views oxygen-under-pressure as a drug, a prescription from a registered Medical Doctor (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.)  is mandatory  for all patients.

Methods of equalizing pressure in your ears:

This will be addressed in detail during your personalized orientation session, and informational package.

The pressure is much like the feeling of fullness in your ears you experience while flying.
Our s Centers have well over 100,000 hours of chamber operation and are well trained in equalizing techniques.
We will spend the time necessary with you by helping you practice equalizing your ears prior to starting your sessions. We frequently treat children who have had head trauma, near drowning , or are intubated. In fact, the youngest patient treated in our clinic was only 6 months old, and treated without any problems or complications.

There are certain requirements to prepare for entering the Hyperbaric Chamber. If you have any questions concerning these guidelines, please ask the chamber operator. The following rules apply to all caretakers and patients.

HBOT Safety Requirements (These will be strictly enforced). We hold a perfect safety record since opening of our clinic 1990.

1. 100% cotton clothing ONLY allowed in side the chamber.
2. We will provide you with 100% cotton scrubs if you need them.
3. No dirty clothing is allowed in the chamber.
4. You will need to arrive 15 minutes early before each session in order to change if you need to or to get ready before going inside the chamber.
5. No grease or oils, such as body lotions, lipstick or nail polish, hair spray, perfumes, makeup or hair preparations are allowed in the chamber
6. DO NOT use any petroleum base products such as vaseline prior to treatment.
7. Please remove : watches and jewelry, hearing aids and anything that is battery operated, remove everything out of your pockets.
8. Smoking constricts your blood vessels. For maximum benefit, stop smoking during your HBOT series, or refrain from smoking for 2 hours before and after each session.
9. To maintain privacy and safety , no visiting in the chamber room, all family members, and visitors must remain outside the treatment area.
10. You will be asked to consent for photos and videos.
11. You must have a meal before each session as HBOT will increase your metabolism and possibly cause your blood sugar levels to drop.

Legal Consent for Treatment:

We cannot legally treat you without your full informed consent. You will be asked to sign a form consenting for therapy prior to commencing treatment.

Your Attendance:

We request that you arrive for your appointments on time. However, actual HBOT sessions can only be timed approximately due to the nature of the treatment. (i.e. compression& decompression) We take great care to make each patient’s session comfortable and to meet each patient’s individual needs. This occasionally makes a session take longer than was scheduled. We request your patience if this occurs, and assure you that, if there is a delay in treating you, we will be equally cautious with your session. If you are unable to attend for any reason, please call and give at least 24 hours notice, otherwise a booking fee will apply.

During you treatments we need to know if you develop any of the following:

• develop a cold, the flu, nasal or chest congestion
• If there is any possibility, you may be pregnant.
• develop nausea or vomiting.
• develop an ear or sinus infection.
• change in medications
• have not eaten breakfast or lunch.
• Are diabetic and did not take your insulin.

Steps to follow before receiving treatments.

1. You will need to get a prescription from your primary-care physician before starting treatments. If you cannot  get a prescription from your doctor  (unwilling to write that Rx because of lack of familiarity with HBOT)  we can refer you to our Center's' Medical Director. After evaluation and discussion with your primary-care physician, the Center's Medical Director may be able to write that prescription for your treatments.

2. Call our patient coordinator to schedule your appointments. Since our Centers are usually busy, please give us at least one weeks notice, so you can receive your desired appointment times.

If you have any questions please feel free to call toll-free 1-888-691-1482

We look forward to helping you, on your way to better health and accelerated healing!

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT INSURANCE

Because our Centers spends a great deal of time with each patient, it is not feasible for any center to participate in any insurance plans. Visits to most of our Centers are considered "out of the network" and are usually reimbursed at a lower rate than those hospitals in the system. While patients are responsible for their own bills and are expected to pay prior to any treatment sessions (unless prior arrangements made), our Center's administration department will bill  bill Medicare for "denial only" and when the patient receives the "Explanation of Benefits" denial, our Centers can submit a claim the patient’s secondary insurance carrier. Since frequently, secondary insurance companies will not pay if Medicare denies, it is very likely that any charges incurred at  some of our Centers will not be reimbursed to MediCare and MediCal patients. If you believe that you are covered under these insurers, our Staff will be pleased to assist you with you enquiries to the nearest hospital based hyperbaric medicine department to ensure your lowest-cost treatment charges.
